Bağlama

Türk müziğinin kopuz çalgısından bugünlere uzanan Türk halk müziği ile özdeşleşmiş telli mızraplı-ditmeli çalgısı. Tarihî sürecin resimleri, Anadolu Sümer medeniyetinde kullanılmış telli çalgıdan, burguluğunun ucunda püskül bulunan Hitit telli çalgısına değin görülmektedir. Dede Korkut hikâyelerinde kopuz, velîlik ve ululuk sembolüdür. Omuzda taşındığı manâsında, “kolca kopuz” olarak da anılmaktadır. Bugün Batı Akdeniz yöresinde kullanılan en küçük bağlama çeşidi gıdıgıdıdan curaya ve en büyüğü olan divan bağlamaya değin, çeşitli boyları aktif olarak kullanılmaktadır. Farsça dilinin etkisiyle tarihi kayıtlara girmiş dutar (iki telli), çartar (dört telli), şeştar (altı telli) gibi bazı çalgı isimlerinin 17. yüzyılda bağlama adı altında toplandığı gözlenir. Bağlama kelimesinin kabul görerek yaygınlaşması hakkında deste, söz, perde, tel bağlamak şeklindeki görüşler yaygındır. Bağlama ailesinde iki eşik arası tel uzunluğu ölçüsü 30 cm’den (gıdıgıdı)  95 cm'ye (divan-meydan sazı) değin uzanır. Üç çift tel,  bir mızrap ile çalınır. Yörelere göre değişen icra tavırları Türk halk müziğini meydana getirir. Çiftetelli, üç telli, cura, çöğür, kısa sap, tanbura, divan ve meydan sazı gibi çeşitleri vardır. Eskiden dut ağacından oyma tekne şeklinde yapılmaktaysa da, günümüzde tekne yaprak ağaçların birleştirilmesiyle imal edilmektedir.

A stringed instrument identified with Turkish folk music, which can be traced back to the kopuz in Turkish music. Pictures relating to the bağlama could be seen in the Sumerian civilization in Anatolia and the Hittites stringed instrument with a tassel at the edge of its pegbox. The kopuz is the symbol of tuition and exaltation. It is also called ‘kolca kopuz’ (the arm’s kopuz) as it is carried on the shoulder. It is played in various sizes today, ranging from the gıdıgıdı (the smallest type of bağlama) to the cura and the largest one named the divan. It is known that the names of some instruments under the influence of Persian such as the two-stringed dutar, the four-stringed çartar and the six-stringed şeştar were all classified as the bağlama in the 17th century. There are several widespread opinions claiming that the word bağlama gained prevalent use due to its meaning for conjoining decks, phrases and frets or strings. The length of strings between the two bridges ranges between 30 cm and 95 cm in the bağlama family. The three strings are played with a plectrum. Playing styles vary with regions and are the basis of Turkish folk music. The bağlama has various kinds such as the çiftetelli, the cura, the çöğür, the kısa sap (short neck), the tanbura, and the divan. Although its body used to be made of a carved mulberry tree, the body is now made by combining the strips of the tree together.
